dr_st 0 Posted July 8, 2004 Hello. I'm experiencing some weird behavior with my Win2K. Very often, during startup, it displays the following message (maybe not word for word, but similar): "Files which are needed for Windows to run correctly have been replaced with unrecognized versions. Please insert Windows 2000 CD to reinstall those files." Now, whether I insert the CD or click "Ignore", this message appears the next time I reboot, or if not the next time, than the one after that. I tried clicking "More details" to see what files it's talking about, but it won't display the names. What could it be? Share this post Link to post
n99nyrwg 0 Posted August 4, 2004 I've also heard of this happening if you run pirated versions of windows. I can't validate that it's true, just something I've read/heard. Share this post Link to post
