leebobs 0 Posted July 13, 2004 I have a P4P800-Deluxe, one of the best selling P4 MB's in europe. But for the life of me, I can't get most of the Hardware on this bugger working under Linux. I am searching for drivers for: 1. The Wi-Fi @ Home Card. VITAL 2. The Gigabit Lan. 3. The VIA RAID Controler. Its not exactly a new board , does anyone know of the whereabouts of the drivers? Thankz Leebobs (Linux n00b) Share this post Link to post
danleff 0 Posted July 13, 2004 What distro and version are you using? Take a look at the following linux pages about you board; http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/history/196405 http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/showproduct.php?product=950 Share this post Link to post
martouf 0 Posted July 13, 2004 a little more information about the MB would help. What's the output from /sbin/lspci ? (cut and paste into reply, please) In the meantime, do a "linux p4p800-deluxe" google search, and also have a look at this linuxquestions thread Share this post Link to post
leebobs 0 Posted July 14, 2004 The motherboard is incompatable with FC2, so I went to SUSE 9.1. The motherboards details can be found here: http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socket478/p4p800-d/overview.htm Here is the important Wi-Fi @ Home section: http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/event/wifiHome/overview.html Thanks for any help you can give me... martouf 0 Posted July 15, 2004 the info from the board manufacturer is nice, but the info from a running Linux kernel is more helpful than specs to figure out what's going on with your system. How's SUSE 9.1 working out for you? What's the output from /sbin/lsmod and /sbin/lspci ? Share this post Link to post
maveric007 0 Posted August 29, 2004 Your in luck. I just got the wifi@home working in fedora core 2. I am currently writing the how to and will post the drivers to my groups website. www.linux-militia.net . Check over there this week and I should have a complete step by step how to for you.
