Can anybody direct me to the no-cd patch that I heard about for this game, I have Windows XP and I get that stupid "can't initialize cd player" message. Thanks

I haven't tried the Gangsters crack myself but it's your decision whether you want to try this or not.

I am currently working to find a fix or work-around for this problem of running Gangsters on XP.

I'll keep you posted if I make any breakthroughs.

I had the same problem. I tried a No CD crack and it seemed to make some more problems. Sold out seem to have released a patch to make it run on XP now. I tried this and have had no problems so far. http://www.sold-out.co.uk/soldout/support/gangsters.html
