Kings quest 7 under win2000

I have owned KQ7 for many years and have decided i wish to once more play.. however.. while it seems to install properly, once i try to load up a game it claims "windows title not found" and tells me to change settings to 256 colours.. I change these settings it still claims "windows title not found" and also "cannot find Sierra.err". what the hell does that mean? is there any way to get it running on a win 2000 machine?

Well ever since problems with old games are impossible to solve, I will suggest getting an old Windows 95 with Pentium processor. that is available at ebay.com.
