eHalai 0 Posted August 24, 2004 hello!!! i am having problem with sharing of files, when i share a folder and want to protect is so that only the user defined can use it, in permission i remove the everyone and add the users from a my domain or my network. but when they try to open that folder from there systems over the network, the msges comes Access Denied. I am on a Domain. and did everything... plz tell me why the others computers cant access that files, and yes the other folders which have permission for everyone can be shared easily over the network. looking forward for the fast reply regards hassan. jimbo 0 Posted August 24, 2004 Hi, It could be the share permissions. When you have share permissions set and NTFS permissions set the computer will use the most restrictive of the two. Check the share permissions for the folders as well. I personally like to leave all share permissions set to Everyone full control and manage the system using only NTFS permissions (We have a small organisation and this works well for us).
