Hi guys, eeer I've got quite an odd video card issue.

 

My Grphics Card is a generic one that came with the PC and it is competent at running decent games but I would love o get an ATI Radeon.........anyway.

 

The card I am having problems with is this;

 

Intel Extreme Graphics 82845G Chipset version 6.13.01.3317

 

This runs Halo ok but all characters are only made up of shades of black, grey, and white (E.G. Masterchief isn't green, grunts aren't red and orange etc.).

 

This card isn't T&L capable.

 

Anyway having seen this I downloaded the latest drivers to make it;

 

Intel Extreme Graphics 82845G/GL/GE/GV version 6.14.10.3865

 

Now the characters have colours and the general texture quality is better, however.

 

While I can be standing in the game with everything ok, I can just move the mouse a fraction or two, and every texture on the screen becomes garbled--bands of bright green and red or yellow and purple checkered patterns etc.

This only seems to happen at certain points in the game such as one particular room will be like this and the rest of the level is fine, or the entire level is affected.

 

I have run dx diag and there were no problems found, due to my limited knowledge in this area any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey i have the same graphics card and i try to play halo but my charachters are also grey even in multiplayer so how did u get urs to be color. Were do u update it
