asdzxcasd 0 Posted September 17, 2004 i have found this problem to 2 computers last week and i cant find a solution .... the computers conect to the net but is like they did not!!!!! i have cleaned the pc with adware and antivirus programs and nothing... also is not firewall problem becouse before with the same firewalls they were working fine! so if nobody know if there is a virus outhere or what the problem is please HELP Share this post Link to post
Sampson 0 Posted September 17, 2004 You need to supply us with more information. How are you connecting to the net - dialup or through DSL/Cable? In any case, right click on the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop, click on Properties, then select the tab Connections. Click on the Lan button and then look to see if the Proxy entry has a check in it. If you are not using a proxy, clear the check. If you are using a proxy, click on the Advanced button and put in the proper values. Share this post Link to post
adamvjackson 0 Posted September 20, 2004 Try WinsockFix. Seriously, I had the same problem with a client last week. I had done it all, uninstall NIC, reinstall NIC, uninstall TCP/IP, reinstall TCP/IP, try another browser, check proxy settings, etc. This fixed it for me, it may for you too Share this post Link to post
