Droop 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Anyone know how (or if) I can get this setup with Fedora Core 1? Share this post Link to post
danleff 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Easiest answer? Use a router to connect your system(s) via a NIC card. What model number is it? Wired or wireless? Share this post Link to post
Dapper Dan 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Actiontec is real good about linux support, but USB is often uncertain with Linux. Danleff is right. The easiest way is to go from an ADSL modem into a router like Linksys or D-link, then to most any NIC card in your computer and it should work without problems. Share this post Link to post
Droop 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Model number UD800TP. It's wired. Thanks for your help so far. I didn't really want to go down the route your suggesting as it means spending more cash and I only have the one computer. Is there no way I can getting it operational as is? Dapper Dan 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Droop, I'm coming up empty when I google "Actiontec" with "UD800TP" and "Linux." This, modem is the closest thing I could find to what you have that is actually listed as working. So you already have this modem and it isn't working? Or are you thinking about buying one. Tell us where you are with this. Share this post Link to post
danleff 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Empty here too. It is listed on Actiontec's web site here. Share this post Link to post
