I get no gamma control in Quake 3

Hey,

 

I'm not getting any gamma control in Quake 3. I'm running a CL geforce the retail version of W2K and the lastest drivers. When Q3 starts the game is very dark and I can't change the gamma, I can move the slider but nothing happens.

 

Any ideas on what is wrong and how I can fix it?

You need to do "\r_gamma X" at the console. The default is 1, so you might want to make it like 1.5. Also you'll need to do a "\vid_retart" at the console to have the changes be applied.
