EM 0 Posted February 6, 2000 After searching through what seems like thousands of messages looking for the answer to the subject question I have come to the conclusion that there may not be an answer. My hardware list is as follows. Abit BP6 Dual 466 128Meg RAM Promise Fasttrak66 IDE Raid SBLive Value Linksys II NIC Tekram DC-390F SCSI Card Viper V770 Voodoo2 Which TNT driver 3.53,3.69 etc supports Direct 3D, OpenGL AND SMP (for Quake3)? I have tried numerous different drivers and all have something or another that doesn't work. My Voodoo3 in my other computer (same setup except for the Video Card) works fine except for the SMP thing. I hope this is enough info to get an answer. Thanks. Ed Share this post Link to post
JimmyK 0 Posted February 6, 2000 3.69 renders my everything wokring, yet 3.75 is a weeee-bit faster but its compatiblity doesnt seem to be up to par of 3.69 (IE SoF demo, which works with 3.69 for me and not 3.75) Share this post Link to post
Greggy 0 Posted February 7, 2000 I agree. All the nvidia (beta) Windows 2000 drivers I have tried so far have their good and bad points when used on an SMP system. I have found that 3.75 are the best so far, but I still get the odd lockup when running a D3D game or screensaver. However, 3.75 are perfect with D3D when in 'uni-processor' mode. So it looks like us SMP users still have to wait a little longer... Share this post Link to post
