HudsonMan 0 Posted October 2, 2004 Hello everyone, I bought the Official Fedora Companion a few weeks ago in anticipation of Fedora Core 3 coming out in November. I would like to know a lot more about Fedora Core 3 and all the new features to it. I plan to use VMware Workstation so I don't have to dual boot between Fedora Core and Windows XP SP2. I have been a fan of Red Hat Linux since 7.3 and I'm glad Fedora is the future of that Linux variant. Mandrake Linux 10.1 is a good alternative but I'm sticking to Fedora... Any information is appreciated. My web site is served on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3!!! Mark McLaughlin http://marknetproductions.com Share this post Link to post

Fedora Core 3 comes with the latest packages including GNOME 2.8, KDE 3.3, Evolution 2.0.1, or Mozilla 1.7.3. Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird are now also part of this distribution. The release notes of the latest beta release are available here: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/test/2.91/i386/os/RELEASE-NOTES-en.html Originally posted by HudsonMan: Quote: My web site is served on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3!!! Not really a surprise. Many US data centers have a contract with Red Hat for RHEL3. Getting the server with another Linux distribution is more difficult in most cases Share this post Link to post
