cumbiamo 0 Posted October 3, 2004 According to a recent Langa list reference, partition magic 5. seems to work on Win XP.. before I purchase an old copy I want to see if anyone knows if that is correct. I heard later versions had problems... I'm looking for a prog that hold my through the process. Any ideas or suggestions are truly appreciated!! Share this post Link to post
jmmijo 1 Posted October 3, 2004 Well I don't know about that because I personally only use PM8.xx due to it's support for NTFS v3.1. It's possible that earlier versions would work but only on the older NTFS 1/2(NT3/4) and NTFS3.0(Win 2k). Plus there is support for the Linux EXT1/2/3 filesystem in the latest release Share this post Link to post

If you installed XP (Pro or Home) on a new drive/partition then it will be NTFS v3.1. If you installed XP as an upgrade from Win 2k then it will be NTFS v3.0. No problems using PM8 so far Share this post Link to post
