Awaxx 0 Posted February 7, 2000 just have a look at the thread I started about dual PIII mobo. Awx Share this post Link to post
Kensan 0 Posted February 7, 2000 I read your thread but you are looking for a dual 500. There are several on the market that run at 100mhz bus but only have 2X AGP and use only PC100 memory. I am looking for one with the 133mhz bus, 4X AGP and the new option to use the PC800 memory Share this post Link to post
Awaxx 0 Posted February 7, 2000 Are you sure U wanna buy RDRAM ? - $1000 for 128 MO :-( - not so great, just read this article frim iXBT. (in this article RDRAM was 500$ but now it's $1000 for PC800 128Mo !!!!!) - i820 is a sh@t (iXBT articles : i820 - the Story of One Failure and i820 test). If you still wanna buy one of those i820 mobo : ASUS ASUS P3C-L. Supermicro no dual i820 card Tyan no i820 card Epox no i820 card ... So be patient and save your money to buy RDRAM (and i820 support only 2 RDRAM). And you can overclock your CPU to run at 133. SlaveDog 0 Posted February 8, 2000 I just bought a Supermicro P6DBE at Fry's electronics. I had the new voltage regulators per Supermicro's web site. I had to boot the board up with a Celeron to flash it to get coppermine support, then I put in two PIII 650's. THe supermicro will only support 100mhz fsb coppermines. The multipliers go up to 8. The good thing about this board is that it is a BX chipset based board. I'm still not ready to use i820 or i840 yet. Good Luck Share this post Link to post
SHS 0 Posted February 9, 2000 Your lucky SlaveDog I want one but the one's found have the older voltage regulators Supermicro P6DBE what did it cost you ?. Share this post Link to post
Awaxx 0 Posted February 9, 2000 So Kensan, you, sse, you'd rather buy a BX mobo. S I think the thread about dual Mobo is the one you should read. Awx Share this post Link to post
