Trying to intall it on a new Sony Vaio but it won't see the device. Used a scsi adapter card. Computer recognises the card, but not the device. Scsi ID's set to #7; tried setting both to 0 and 1. Any Idea's? THanks Bob Share this post Link to post
jconstan 0 Posted October 28, 2004 As mentioned....termination is very important....there are a few kinds for SCSI and the controller and drive has to match. There is LVD (Low voltage differential) and HVD (High voltage differential) as well as active and passive termination. Does the SCSI BIOS "see" the drive upon booting? If the SCSI BIOS doesn't detect it the OS doesn't have a chance of detecting it. -Jim Share this post Link to post
