Trooper76 0 Posted November 10, 2004 Hello All, I tried to run Might and Magic IV: Mandate of Heaven on Windows XP but it doesn't work. An error message pops up and states that: Video Driver not a DirectDraw driver. Do I need to download a DirectDraw driver or is the problem more in depth? PhantomLotus 0 Posted November 10, 2004 I have the game, and it works fine for me. I would think that it is nothing more than your drivers. Maybe reinstall direct x all together to fix the direct draw. Or check your settings within direct x on your direct draw. hope you fix it-it's a fun game. Share this post Link to post
sibeling 0 Posted March 4, 2005 I don't know if anyone has posted this solution before... I have Windows XP Pro and MM6 and MM8 run fine on my system. MM7 didn't run, until I did this 1. Run DXdiag, set 3d accelerated audio to None 2. Open MM7 setup and disable 3d audio 3. In MM7 setup still, select Run 3d Video/graphics from software 4. Then hit the button to run MM7 that is next to the exit button.. and it worked like magic for me... Hopefully this helps someone, let me know Share this post Link to post
