Direx X 8 beta please

Hi, i have a graphics card that will only with direct3d if i have the betat of Directx8 and i can't find it. Please help me. THe card is NeoMagic 256Av. A lot of people say that it doesn't work with Direct3d but i know it does because my friend has the same graphics on his laptop and it works fine with direct3d. I am able to play a few games because i edited the registry, but not any that or really worth playing.
