wiz 0 Posted November 23, 2004 hello! i brought this new expansion pack- makin magic. i don't have other expansion packs. but i have the original game 'the sims', which i bought a couple of years back. my problem is i have installed 'the sims' on my system,but the expansion pack does not recognise it and yes i have the original version. help me! what is the file the expansion looks for?? Wicked101 0 Posted November 24, 2004 Its been a while since I've played Sims and I gave my Sims with all expansions to my sister-in-law, but as far as I can remember it needs the Sims CD, it starts installing then it asks for the sims CD and when its done it asks for the expansion CD again. And the file, well, I'm not too sure, I think it might be cab2 or datacab2 or something like that, I could be wrong, its been a while and I might be confusing myself a little bit with some other games, its possible if you sit infront of a PC 24 hours a day Share this post Link to post
