dstrem 0 Posted December 5, 2004 I'm running XP service patch 1 and I loaded an older program that ran fine on 2000. Now when I go to run it, it runs Direct Player 6.0 but a message saying "This program needs at least 3MB of virtual memory to run." appears. How do I fix this? Share this post Link to post
Crislyn 0 Posted December 18, 2004 Hello, I have this same problem... exact same error. I went to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced Tab -> Performance Settings -> Advanced Options Tab -> Virtual Memory *change button* -> From here I had C: drive selected and under "Paging file size" it says "Space Available: 98846MB" Then has "Custom size/ System managed size/ No paging file" options. I have "Custom size" select with the Initial size set at 1533 MB and the Maximum size set at 1533 MB. Below this it says: "Total pagin file size dor all drives Minimum allowed: 2 MB Recommended: 1533 MB Currently Allocated: 1533 MB My computer is a Dell, Pentium 4 processor, 3.0 ghz, 1 gig of ram, 128 graphics card, running Windows XP service pack 1 So as far as I can tell, I followed your instructions but am still getting the error everytime I try to start this older program. Is there anything you can tell me to help me? Thanks so much, Crislyn Share this post Link to post
