MADDEN 2001 UNDER WIN XP HOME ED

hey everyone i put tha cd in my G drive and then tried 2 run madden(i couldn't find madden.exe though so i used autorun and mad3cd,etc..) the message i get when trying to install/play is:

 

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

 

please help

That file is either corrupted or missing, you need to copy it from the XP CD. Its just a plain text file.

what if i dont have the xp cd is there any alternative
