Randomize 0 Posted December 14, 2004 I was wondering if it is at all possible to make Windows NT Workstation 4.0 poweroff the computer when it has finished shutting down or if there are any drivers that add this support. My NT4 machine is: IBM PC300GL PentiumMMX 166MHz 32MBytes of RAM Not true ATX powersupply (it is a funny IBM one) but Win98 is able to power it off Share this post Link to post
peterh 1 Posted December 14, 2004 It is possible via third party install, notebooks will probably have it with the drivers with the system. You need to look on your manufacturer's web page. e.g. Fujitsu: http://fsc-pc.de/KnowHow/Start_GB_Notebo...undlagen-02.htm HP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=tis09976 Insyde: http://www.insydesw.com.tw/en/Ps.asp?id=127 Not all manufacturers will supply it so its a case of hit or miss... Calvin_OZ 0 Posted December 14, 2004 Hi Randomise, 'Power-Down After Shutdown' is easy to accomplish on NT4. Have a look at http://nt4ref.zcm.com.au/softoff.htm for a full description of what is required. NO 3rd party tools are required to perform this task. Calvin. Share this post Link to post
