ATX poweroff for Windows NT Workstation 4.0

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if it is at all possible to make Windows NT Workstation 4.0 poweroff the computer when it has finished shutting down or if there are any drivers that add this support.

My NT4 machine is:

IBM PC300GL

PentiumMMX 166MHz

32MBytes of RAM

Not true ATX powersupply (it is a funny IBM one) but Win98 is able to power it off

It is possible via third party install, notebooks will probably have it with the drivers with the system. You need to look on your manufacturer's web page.

e.g.

Fujitsu:

HP:

Insyde:

Not all manufacturers will supply it so its a case of hit or miss...
