Arcadia 0 Posted December 24, 2004 Hey i'm trying to install Simcity 3000 UK Edition on Windows but whenever i try it comes up with: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. ROLFWEBER55 0 Posted January 8, 2005 JUST HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN TRYING TO REINSTALL THE GREAT CLASSIC OF YESTERYEAR! THE PROBLEM IS THAT A TROJAN HORSE VIRUS HAS MOVED THE FILE AUTOEXEC.NT SOMEWHERE ELSE SO YOU NEED TO SEARCH FOR THE FILE AND COPY PASTE IT TO THE SYSTEM32 FOLDER. YOU CAN THEN INSTALL AND WASTE AWAY HOURS AND HOURS OF YOUR DAYS MAKING SURE ALL THE WATER PIPES LINE UP!! HAPPY PLAYING Share this post Link to post
peterh 1 Posted January 8, 2005 Fix: Copy (not move) autoexec.nt file from c:\windows\repair to the system32 folder. Share this post Link to post
