RabidPrawn 0 Posted December 25, 2004 I have been trying to install windows xp pro 64 bit edition on my computer, but it keeps coming up with the message that the setup is not a valid win32 application. I do not know what I need to do about it. For more information in order to help me out my motherboard is a foxconn 755/760 - or if you prefer a foxconn 755a01-6ekrs. The chip is an AMD Athlon 64 Processor 2800+ socket 754. If anyone has any answers for me e-mail me at RabidPrawn@hotmail.com Subject: windows xp 64 bit edition. Thank you. -Jesus- Share this post Link to post

peterh 1 Posted February 15, 2005 I think you have to do a CLEAN install of 64 bit Windows. You need to delete existing Windows install. Boot off the 64 bit Windows CD and then install it on a clean partition. Share this post Link to post
