Mandrake 10.1 OE network almost right.

Hi I have Mandrake 10.1 almost set up correctly. I can see all

the windows shares and access the internet correctly. One bit I don't have yet is that tightvnc will not connect to the main computer on my house network (e-smith server that controls the windows workgroup e-smith) which is a windows 98se box. The laptop I am using as client (dual boot) works in Win98se. I have tried all the combos of setup I can find and nothing works. Thoughts?
