Bizwax 0 Posted January 6, 2005 Regarding post at: http://www.ntcompatible.com/thread26630-1.html I have a similar issue and would like your advice please. I have a Panasonic KX-P2130. It works fine under Windows 9x and Windows XP, but when running under Windows 2000 I cannot control the page size (width and length). I have tried everything imaginable to fix this (even written custom software using the Windows API to control the page size), but it just won't work under Windows 2000. I came across your post and thought "Well maybe it's the driver." I am using Panasonic's driver on Windows 2000, but the Microsoft supplied driver under Windows XP. I would like to test the WinXP driver under Win2K to see if it fixes my problem. Seeing as you have already done this successfully, I was hoping you could provide me some step-by-step (hold my hand) instructions on how to install the WinXP printer driver under Win2K? Your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks! Share this post Link to post
Bizwax 0 Posted January 6, 2005 I figured it out. Simple really. Just add a new printer under Windows 2000 and use the Windows XP install CD as the driver source. It's a piece of cake. My Windows 2000 pc can now control the page size on the Panasonic KX-P2130 by using the XP driver. I guess this printer was simply not fully supported under Windows 2000. The latest drivers from Panasonic were for WindowsNT (even though their website states they will work under W2K). And Microsoft didn't supply drivers for this printer until XP. Thanks for playing!
