Mastertech 0 Posted January 15, 2005 Optimize XP - A Windows XP Optimization Guide Optimize Windows XP to improve both work and gaming performance safely. Windows XP's default configuration is far from optimized. This guide will help you improve your overall system performance. I avoid using or recommending "all-in-one" Windows XP Tweak programs since many blindly adjust settings that have no affect on performance and can cause future problems. This guide is designed to be performed top to bottom, in sequence since some steps are required to be performed before others. Share this post Link to post

massada 0 Posted September 19, 2005 Nice site and also an excellent collection of link sites for tweaking. If you so not have a lot of time for tweaking and go between various functions like graphics to wanting an ultra fast game machine take a look at the site below: http://www.iobit.com/ I use it and think it is the best out there right now. It switches machine functions with repeatability and my FX flies in the game setting. Good Luck and thank you the excellent link for tweaking - I enjoy that too Share this post Link to post
mctonale 0 Posted September 20, 2005 When I did mine I had a lot more control over what I chose to change and it doesn't even cost anything (takes a while though). http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1590 Share this post Link to post
Mastertech 0 Posted October 10, 2005 The Optimize XP - A Windows XP Optimization Guide is not recommended to be used with other guides. Any tweaks, optimizations or utilities from any other guide that work are already in the guide. For Windows 2000 use: Optimize 2000 - A Windows 2000 Optimization Guide Share this post Link to post
