bengerhamin 0 Posted January 31, 2005 I have Windows XP Service Pack 2. I borrowed a copy of Age of Empires 2 from my friend a while ago and was able to play it just fine for 3 months online with my friends. I had to give the game back so I bought a copy from the store. Then the gamed started to lock up so I uninstalled it. When I installed it again, it would play just fine but now when I go to the online game menu, the box with the game types (such as serial, modem, tc/ip network) is blank. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall 3 or 4 times now with the same results. Has anyone ever experienced this before? Were you able to get this issue resolved? Does anyone have any ideas about how I can fix this? Share this post Link to post

algor 0 Posted January 6, 2006 I have the exact same problem. I think it's because the new verison of DirectX or some configuration of the router. Check /run/dxdiag and test for directplay. Mine doesn't work and I can't fix it no matter what I do. Help would be greatly appreciated. Share this post Link to post
