New to Fedora 3, seeking network advice

I am new to Linux fedora and I am looking for any help on how to network a fedora desktop to a windows xp network.

 

The topology is star with three hubs

All Cat5

Using Sympatico connection with a windows xp computer doing the logon for the PPPoE.

 

I am getting familiar with the Fedora desktop but unable to figure out how to set up a static ip for the network card (if need be) and setting up the shared internet connection.

 

Any assistance would be appreciated!
