You name it, Diablo, JBuilder3, Word/Excel/PowerPoint 2000, Halflife, etc. all bluescreen and reboot. What is going on? This has happened with NVIDIA's Det Drivers 3.78,3.76,3.69. I can't figure it out. My specs: AMD K6-2, 256 SDRAM, Win2k resides on a 2gb partition on my first 10.1gb hdd (there are 2). Win98/Linux are also around (i triple boot). Viper V550 PCI. Creative Labs 16 Plug n Pray sound card. Any help would really really be appreciated. Share this post Link to post
Ekstreme 0 Posted February 18, 2000 This came from Creative new tnt release, it might help...... Ensure that you have the following suggested settings in your system BIOS setup: 1. Enable "Assign IRQ to VGA" if possible. 2. Disable "VGA Palette Snoop". 3. Disable "Video BIOS Cache" and "Video BIOS Shadow". 4. Disable "C800-CBFFF Shadow" or similar options. 5. Set AGP Aperture Size to about half the size of system RAM size. ------------------ PIII 450 128 MB Ram DV 770 32Mb TNT2 (Det. 3.76) QF 8.4Gb HDD Tekram DC-310 SCSI Adapter CW-7502 CD-R SB PCI 64 Windows 2000 2195.1 ------------------------- #NTCompatible on UNDERNET!!! Carver95 0 Posted February 18, 2000 Well...I followed those suggestions, and they didn't kill my comp...then again they didn't help it either So I went and found the oldest reference drivers around namely 1.56 OpenGL (from Chameleon's site). And guess what, it works... *shrug* thanks anyway. Share this post Link to post
Ekstreme 0 Posted February 18, 2000 Sorry man, but I know at the point you are @, anything is worth a try. I have huge probs, namely with Q3a. I have to format when I do a video driver update so that quake will run. Perhaps you should reset you bios. make the above changes, format and reinstall. It can't hurt to try *shrug* [This message has been edited by Ekstreme (edited 19 February 2000).] Share this post Link to post
