Maeric 0 Posted February 15, 2000 This has been a pain for me, I've been searching for drivers for my TNT card to be used for Windows 2000 but have been unable to find any. Are there any drivers available? I'd appreciate some help. Thanks in advance. Share this post Link to post
YuppieScum 0 Posted February 15, 2000 Three choices: 1. Search the fourm. 2. Use the drivers that ship with W2K. 3. ByronT 0 Posted February 15, 2000 I think we need to make the SEARCH link larger than the words NT Compatible at the top of the page. Geez, you would think that people could just look first before asking the same questions over and over and over.... What about it SHS? SEARCH in all caps right next the the NT Compatible logo. And then a warning before a new post: "Did you really search for an answer first?" Regards... ------------------ J. 5t3ph3n 0 Posted February 15, 2000 ...or maybe www.searchntcompatible.cjb.net and rename the forum to "ULTIMATE SEARCH FORUM" and a banner then "please keep members calm by searching first.thank you" and after a 2nd banner "thanks for using our search engine" stay cool... Awaxx 0 Posted February 15, 2000 And what about hiding the "Post new topic" button ? Or prevent people with less than 30 post to post a new topic ??? I WANNA KILL NEWBIE (I know I was one one day, but I don't think I was that stupid ....) Awx Share this post Link to post
Awaxx 0 Posted February 15, 2000 I HAVE A SOLUTION !!!!!! Why not post EVERYDAY a new Post called : "TRY THE SEARCH BUTTON FISRT". (I had similar problem on a news server (people sending posts to the wrong forum), and it's the solution we found : sending every day a new post saying : "ATTENTION : HOW TO USE THIS FORUM") But anyway, will find guyz sayin' : "Old posts are talking about TNT2 in general, but Ihave a ASUS TNT2 card. What about it ??? How can I make OGL and DD and AP and TV-Out work ????" Awx PS : on my news server, it didn't worked a lot but it helped. Share this post Link to post
Maeric 0 Posted February 15, 2000 'Scuse me but that's a little rude. Not everyone is as perfect as you, Awaxx. Most people make mistakes. Hopefully you don't make another mistake else you might have just invited the same criticism as you gave me! :-( Quote: Originally posted by Awaxx: And what about hiding the "Post new topic" button ? EddiE314 0 Posted February 15, 2000 All of us were newbies at one time, just think, after the 17th it will get worse. All you have to do it make links on the front page for the topics that were posted the most, for example...TNT DRIVERS AND PROBLEMS.... Just make that a hyperlink.... Share this post Link to post
Maeric 0 Posted February 15, 2000 I agree EddiE314. Would have made my trip here a whole lot more enjoyable. Share this post Link to post
Awaxx 0 Posted February 15, 2000 Sorry Maeric, my words went beyond my thinking. I'm not perfect at all, even if my post can make believe that I think I am. I was a newbie, not so far away from now (just have a look, I'm a registered user only since Nov 1999 and I started using Win2k just a few weeks before, and I'm supposed to be a "Super Member" with only around 80 post). My knowledge and science must be as small as yours (maybe smaller), but I think I use my knownlegde in a efficient way. There is an advice I can give you (and I try to follow it as often as I can) : think by yourself and keep informing you. That way, you'll be able to solve more and more prob by yourself by interpolating other probs and you'll fell much more intelligent . It the advice I give every newbie I met. So when your arrive at a new place, have a look around to see what's here. That way, you could have found the Search button and find quicker anwer to your prob. I'm sorry for having being rude. Awx PS: missa french missa speak bad english [This message has been edited by Awaxx (edited 15 February 2000).] Share this post Link to post

jabbathewocket 0 Posted February 16, 2000 hrrm perhaps a small faq is in order? you know the basics included such as: 1) AOL is screwed under win2k - see AOL keyword beta central for latest win2k release 2) TNT drivers not quite ready for primetime yet check (current url for latest version) 3) Creative Labs Livewire for SB Live! cards not available for win2k yet, this fix may help (also with url) etc Just my 2cents worth!
