Shrink 0 Posted February 19, 2000 For those having problems because of a previous install of Liveware3 a la A. Toste, I am pasting a post from the sblive ng on CL's server from a guy who said he was able to do it successfully. Your mileage may vary... <Begin Paste>I also had this problem and I had attempted to install the hacked Liveware 3 fix - this never worked for me as I choose to ignore (actually overlooked) the SMP limitation but the remnants were still on my PC. First, I uninstalled the SBLive WDM from device manager. Then I unistalled the creative software from add/remove programs. Finally I had to boot into my win98 config to remove all the files installed from the hack 'run.cmd' file. Upon reboot to W2K the basic SBlive WDM drivers were installed - I then upgraded the driver, rebooted and installed the software portion. Things are working fine now. Hope this works for others as well. <END PASTE> If you have questions, take them to the newsgroup. ------------------ Shrink 92% of the things we worry about don't happen - but the other 8% DO!
