Sims 2 - unique problem - cheat box won't come up

Please someone help. Just installed Sims 2. Perfect, clean install on a top of the line computer. NO problems with install, video, sound. Game plays fine. HOWEVER, I cannot get the cheat box to appear. Control-shift-c, right? Doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks to all!

Left ctrl + left shift + c, at the same time?

Yep it's the left ctrl not the right one that one doesn't work.

I am having this problem. I've patched, installed Univ. Left Ctrl+ Left Shift + C. I've done it over and over, and nothing works. I know it isn't the keyboard b/c they work individually.

 

 

---Update, I found the answer. Disable Cursor XP before starting the game---------
