Shadow Warior Sound issues

Ok, I am having a problem with Shadow Warriors Sound on Windows Xp Service Pack 2. I can load the game, but the sound is too choppy in the game and in the setup program. Anyone have any Ideas of how i can get the sound to return to normal? Any help anyone can give me would e much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
