Silent-IQ 0 Posted February 20, 2000 You cant run win98 on the d:, you must first install win98 on c: like you would usuly do and after that install win2000 on d:, the rest will config it self... win98 must have its boot files on c: and thats why it must be installed on c: Share this post Link to post
LSD 0 Posted February 20, 2000 This means i have to format right? Tell me if the following is right: 1.format C: /s in command prompt 2.reboot 3.insert win98 boot disk 4.mun fdisk 5.delete NTFS partition(not really sure how to do this one) 6.create fat partition 7.reboot with cdrom support 8.install 98 Win2k: 1. choose make a new installation D:\windows 2.follow instructions to complete install (then what do i do to be able to use both? does it ask at startup?) Awaxx 0 Posted February 21, 2000 If you have Win98 on one driver and install Win2k on another, it will automatically create a boot menu to let you choose which OS you wanna use today. I f you wanna have more precise information about editin and tweaking what does appearin this menu, I gave link in this old post : How can I access the bootmenu to edit the text it displays in 2k? .
