YakBak 0 Posted February 20, 2000 I am on a college lan, i rebooted my computer, and I cant get on the network. We use DHCP (i think it is enabled) but I get errors now says " Your computer has dected the ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx for the network card xxxxxx is already in use on the network. your compute rwill automatically obtgain a new ip address" well, i have that all over my event viewer. I cant get on the network at all. I have removed my NIC, tcpip, and microsoftg network, rebootged, same stuff! PLEASE help. How can I fix this annoying problem. I went into command prompt, tryed to release it, wont let me, and renew it, it gave me the same ip address. our network at this college is dynanmic ips, not static PLEASE HELP! thanks Share this post Link to post
Awaxx 0 Posted February 21, 2000 Just contact your collegecomputer departement. We don't know anything how you LAN is managed. You could try to give an IP by yourself, but just contact them : it's their job. Awx Share this post Link to post
