PEFL 0 Posted April 6, 2005 Hey guys! I've got a little problem with VC. So that you fully understand the problem i'll tell you how it all started. I've never played VC before :x only GTA2 and 3. A couple of days ago i decided to download the game off internet (edonkey rules) and the game was on my pc yestetday. I ran the setup and was ready to play the game! However, VC had other plans and i saw a message on my screen which said something like "GTA:VC can't be run because mss32.dll was not found". I tried again and again, i even reinstalled the game but the game didn't work. I then went on internet and searched for mss32.dll and found it, then i downloaded it and put in the VC folder just as the instructions said and also put into C:\windows\system32 folder because that's what the instructions also said. Finally, i was 100% sure that i would play the game, but... a message came up on the monitor which said: "The procedure entry point _AIL_set_3D_sample_distances@12 could not be located in the dynamic link library mss32.dll" After that i didn't try anything else, but i think that mss32.dll should be put somewhere else. Help me please! As i said i've never played the game before (what a loser) ((((((((( Share this post Link to post

PEFL 0 Posted April 6, 2005 I know that it;s piracy, i don't like it, it's the first time i've ever got something of internet (except freeware), but i just couldn't find the game anywhere in the shops. So i guess i'll have to play something else... again... Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted April 7, 2005 Vice City was probably coded for a specific version of mss32.dll, you can't just use any ver. I would post the specific ver that Vice City uses but I don't like stealing games. So your out of luck. Thread Closed. Share this post Link to post
