Awaxx 0 Posted February 23, 2000 Here is my 2 cents ... In my LAN, we experienced a few probs, with CuteFTP (2.x to 3.x), WarFTP 1.71 and Win2k 2195. If someone running Win2k wanted to connect to a FTP server under WarFTP, uhe wasn't able to go over a 80kbytes/s limit (on a 100Mbps LAN). We've found 2 solutions : - use another FTP client like LeechFTP (freeware) which isvery ood. There, if you DL can go over the 80kB/s limit, as you can specify a upper limit, just input a very limit, and everything's all right. - use another FTP server like G6FTP. If you have the same prob, here's a solution. If you know where it comes from, I would gladly hear the explanation. Awx PS : LAN card ->3Com Fast Ethernet 100Mbps Share this post Link to post
YuppieScum 0 Posted February 23, 2000 Most odd. I use CuteFTP on W2K 2195 with an Intel/IBM 10/100 NIC running at 10Mbs connecting to my ADSL box. I regualarly get over 100kb/s when downloading... What happens if you run the FTP client and server machines "back-to-back"? Share this post Link to post
