Eric_Streame 0 Posted June 2, 2005 Hi guys. My first time here. Pleased. I'm having problems with a game i'm trying to run that needs directx 9.0c. The problem is that the installer just skips to the part where it says that everything is installed, but it takes like less than a sec, so i know it hasn't done anything. I remember having this "fun" prob before, with another install of XP Pro and vaguely recall using a tool that forced installed directx and everything was fine. I've tried uninstalling completely and reinstall directx 8 (Happy Uninstall Directx), but it's the exact same thing when i try to reinstall. It's the same with the redist version. So, if anyone knows of the force install tool i'd be a happy camper and buy him a beer! Of course i looked all over this forum and the net, but the info i need is disappeared. Cheers! BTW.
