Wilhelmus 1 Posted June 3, 2005 Create shortcut for the game executable and select properties for the shortcut. Select Compatiblity tab. Try the Windows 98 compatiblity mode. <edit> I downloaded demo of this game and it worked fine on my XP box. Without any compatiblity mode/patch/etc. </edit> Share this post Link to post
pendar 0 Posted July 28, 2005 Well an easy work around is to install windows xp pro and have a dual boot system, this way those games or apps that won't install on the 64 bit side will install under the 32 bit side, then just boot back into the 64 bit side then create a short cut to your desk top and thats it, I haven't found a game yet that won't work with Windows XP Pro 64 bit addtion. A few companie's install programs won't install there product because of unreconized os. There are some apps that have to be 64 bit specific, like CD/DVD burning apps. The Newest Nero supports it and most other burning apps support it as well, just needs to be the newest version is all. I haven't found a 64 bit firewall yet, although the one built into windows will have to do for now. Peace Y'all Bummer on those install programs, mostly games starting from 11/2004 thru 3/2005. Games that won't install because of 64 bit OS, but will work with a Dual Boot OS (32Bit & 64Bit) Doom 3, Lego Star Wars, Call of Duty United Offnesive, a few more too. Share this post Link to post
