resort 0 Posted June 14, 2005 I think that I have deleted the windows PCI Multimedia audio device on my computer (windows ME)as I now have no sound and no icon at the bottom. I am a real novice at this so if anyone can help me get it back again I would be most grateful. Share this post Link to post
Wilhelmus 1 Posted June 14, 2005 Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Multimedia. (Note: If all of the Control Panel icons are not displayed, select view all Control Panel options) Goto Audio tab. You should see something like this: If you do not, then you have uninstalled the sound card from Windows. Now download program called EVEREST Home Edition. Install and start it. From the left panel, doubleclick "Multimedia", then "PCI / PnP Audio". On right panel, you'll see your sound card's description. For example, if your card is made by Creative, then you goto to Creative's website and search for drivers for your card. http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ Share this post Link to post

Thank you Wilhelmus for your help. This is a great site to learn so much. Share this post Link to post
