dnfitz 0 Posted February 18, 2003 I hate to start my membership here with asking advice, but I have browsed for hours the almighty google to no avail. The problem is that USB devices freeze up the system. I have a USB 2.0 (buslink) harddrive, and a belkin USB 2.0 hub, and the computer freezes sometimes instantly, or eventually after 1 - 10 minutes after using them. I have a logitech usb mouse that did not seem to affect anything, but I went ahead and used the ps/2 adapter just in case. Thanks in advance for any help. I did detect a routing conflict with IRQ's, but that is about it... here is the USB info from my messages: Feb 17 00:58:48 redhatdave kernel: usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs Feb 17 00:58:48 redhatdave kernel: usb.c: registered new driver hub Feb 17 00:58:48 redhatdave kernel: PCI: Found IRQ 3 for device 00:10.3 Feb 17 00:58:48 redhatdave kernel: IRQ routing conflict for 00:10.0, have irq 9, want irq 3 Feb 17 00:58:48 redhatdave kernel: IRQ routing conflict for 00:10.1, have irq 9, want irq 3 Feb 17 00:58:48 redhatdave kernel: IRQ routing conflict for 00:10.2, have irq 9, want irq 3 Feb 17 00:58:48 redhatdave kernel: IRQ routing conflict for 00:10.3, have irq 9, want irq 3 Feb 17 00:58:48 redhatdave kernel: hcd.c: ehci-hcd @ 00:10.3, VIA Technologies, Inc.
