linuxlove 0 Posted July 8, 2005 Hi Any one knows how to get the drivers for SATA Maxtor 6y120M0 for RH 9.0 version I need it really waiting for reply Share this post Link to post
Vermyn 0 Posted July 8, 2005 You don't need drivers for the hard drive. You need drivers for the SATA controller on your motherboard or for your SATA add-on card. What motherboard do you have? What kernel are you trying to use? Chances are, using RH 9.0, the kernel isn't going to have drivers for your SATA controller... IIRC, that came out before SATA. Share this post Link to post
danleff 0 Posted July 8, 2005 Yes, Redhat 9 support would be difficult. I know that Fedora Core 4 or Mandriva 2005 will work easily, out of the box. I have the same sata drive, the 80 gig version. Share this post Link to post
zenarcher 0 Posted July 8, 2005 Likewise, I have 80Gig WD SATA drives and they worked just fine with Mandriva 2005LE, right out of the box. zenarcher Share this post Link to post
