Thratchen 0 Posted August 9, 2005 Just discovered that my new Linksys EG1032 Gigabit PCI Network Adapters DO NOT offer linux support and that Linksys has no plans to support it in the future. Does anyone know of a Gigabit NIC that runs on Linux that supports Jumbo packets? Any help appreciated T Share this post Link to post

This card is based on the RTL8169S-32 (Realtek) chipset. You need to use a modified r8169.ko driver. I say modified because the driver needs to be modified to understand the Linksys PCI vendor/device/subdevice IDs. I've made a patch: http://mandalore.dyndns.biz/svn/public/linux/eg1032v3/ I've also submitted a bug report to the linux kernel group: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5108 [Edited by clutzer on 2005-08-21 22:30:57] Share this post Link to post
