markv 0 Posted August 24, 2005 What am I missing Using the DVI output from an ATI 9200SE and plugging into a wide format projector. On boot, the dos screen comes up and is recognized as 640x400. The windows splash screen comes up with the same resolution. After that nothing comes up. I'm experimenting with configurations using the RCA connector between the two and the image comes across that way (poorly of course), but why not the DVI connection? I installed the latest ATI Catalyst and it recognizes the projector, Sharp dt300. Any help's appreciated. Share this post Link to post
ShadOLurk 0 Posted August 24, 2005 The Sharp DT-300 accepts the following DVI resolutions, 1280 x 720 @ 60Hz 1024 x 768 @ 72,70,50 or 43Hz 800 x 600 @ 75,72,70,56 or 50Hz (plus some more lower res's) So in windows, your display setting should match one of the above. When the project detects a Resolution/Refresh combination that it doesn't like, it will just give you a blank screen. Hope this is of some help. Share this post Link to post
markv 0 Posted August 25, 2005 I tried the 800x600@70Hz and a couple others, but no change in results. The other interesting aspect is the DT300 provides one DVI port, but accesses it as analog or digital. The boot screens show up as analog inputs through the DVI and absolutely nothing comes through the DVI as digital. Is the video card actually putting analog signals through the DVI connection and I shouldn't expect the projector to see a true digital input? Share this post Link to post
AndyFair 0 Posted September 2, 2005 Are you running a dual-headed system - i.e. monitor plus projector? If so, you may need to turn the projector on in the display properties section Share this post Link to post
