Lost ident info for Linksys BEFSR41 v3

i was trying to configure my friend's router using a internet explorer and the default login for the BEFSR41 is blank/admin but it didnt work.

 

so my question is does anyone know if its possible to recover the login information??

use a pen and reset the router

hold the reset button in untill the lights flash off then on again.

 

the downside is that whatever settings he had in there will be gone along with the password

the upside is that they take 5 mins to configure tops
