Remaercs 0 Posted February 28, 2000 I got this annoying problem........... my konfiguration: C: Fat32 (win98se) D: NTFS (W2k server) E: Fat32 F: NTFS G: NTFS Now to the problem, the C drive crashed, with the Boot.ini and NTFS drivers. Now I got w98 up and running, but I can't use the NTFS drives. Whats the easiest way to fix this? Without reinstalling the Server? Share this post Link to post
Seldzar 0 Posted February 29, 2000 Boot from the win2k cd or a win98 disk and start the win2k install and do an emergency repair. if you didn't make an emergency repair disk then chances are your f**ked as you can't copy the files manually. Try getting ntfs for 98 and see if you can copy autoexec.nt and config.nt and config.log from the x:\WINNT\repair dir. Config.log is hidden(actually it may be user.log) or something to that effect. http://www.win2knews.com [This message has been edited by Seldzar (edited 29 February 2000).] Share this post Link to post
chopper2000 0 Posted February 29, 2000 well hapened to me to but like Seldzar says boot into 98 and run setup off win2000 and select repair instalation even if you dont have emergency repair disk it should work there is an option for if you dont have your em disk. and if that does not work you can format your D partition and just reinstall and it will still work with out repairing your mb record or anything.
