how do i set my keyboard to u.k instead of u.s in the registry

If this is XP you go to Start > control panel then what you do next depends on what view you are in.

 

If category view you click on Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options then Regional and Language Options. Now click on the Languages tab then under Text services and input languages click on the Details button.

 

If you are in classic view you just click on Regional and Language Options in control panel then Text services and input languages then the Languages tab then click on the Details button.
