ACID 0 Posted February 29, 2000 can some one please tell how to delete them its been bugging me for so long ive tried netbus, ntfsdos everything Share this post Link to post
YuppieScum 0 Posted February 29, 2000 Investigation shows that the file devcon32.dll is by Creative, and is probably part of the SB driver set. So... Disable/uninstall the SB devices in Device Manager. Down the box. Remove the card. Up the box. Delete the driver if it still is there. Share this post Link to post
TLD 0 Posted February 29, 2000 I just booted into DOS and deleted them through there. You might also be able to boot into the command mode and do it from there. Before the main loading screen comes up press f8 Share this post Link to post

ThC 129 0 Posted March 1, 2000 I suggest that you do what Yuppie suggested, and pull out the card then delete the drivers Share this post Link to post
DrSchmoe 0 Posted March 1, 2000 If you think removing hardware is a pain in the rear, you can insert your Win2k CD (you have one, right???), and enter the recovery console. From there you can delete the files. It saves time and the hassle of ripping parts out of your system. I haven't tried yet, but this is a "theoretical easier solution." Share this post Link to post
ACID 0 Posted March 2, 2000 THanks the recovery thing worked great ps taking out the card does nothing windows still thinks the files are in use Share this post Link to post
