American Zombie 0 Posted November 30, 2005 Maybe if you install service pack 2 as it comes with DX 9.0c by default. Share this post Link to post
Sampson 0 Posted November 30, 2005 Do as American Zombie says. You will have to "upgrade" to it "gradually" since you will need to download all of the security fixes off of Microsoft's site. There are slipstreaming solutions that could do it faster, but since you were having trouble installing DirectX 9, you might want to allow each suggested fix one visit at a time to Microsoft Update, because some slipstreaming solutions presume registry entries that preceded SP2. Xerial 0 Posted December 20, 2005 I am having trouble getting Direct X 9.0c to work on my comp. I run OS Xp, Service pack 2, I have a nvidia Geforce 4 MX 4000 128mb G card. I downloaded it from the MS site www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/. I unzipped the files to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DirectX\Dinput\ and ran the DX setup and it said it installed and was ready for use. But my card still says it have directX 9.0 or better, and when I try to install Need for speed Most wanted Black Edition it says that Direct X 9.0c is Required so I am not sure what the problem is any ideas?
