Das Letzte Einhorn 0 Posted December 12, 2005 Hi I am trying to play "Curse of Monkey Island" in XP. everything works well, but after a short while, when Guybrush starts talking, the voice becomes corrupted. I have tried anything written in the troubleshooting guide, but it the sound just doesn't work well. maybe it's something with the Win95 sound compability. Thanks. Share this post Link to post
anthony2579 0 Posted June 21, 2008 I had windows xp before and didnt have any problems with the game. Now I have windows vista and the game started up fine, I watched the opening video and could talk to wally a little but once I started asking questions about the pirate literature it froze and wally repeated the same thing endlessly. I tried running the game in xp compatibility but didnt work. I then ran the game using scummvm (www.scummvm.org) - a free and quick download and now the game is working fine. I thought maybe the cd was scratched and that was the problem as it did have a bunch of light scratches but that wasnt the problem and now it works great. Share this post Link to post
