janfebmar 0 Posted January 23, 2006 Hi I own a computer company and now im going to extend my stock with HT Pc's. What are the good and bads about Windows Media Center (XP). Ive never really thought about selling them before now and I got a call from Microsoft the other day and got an offer if i bought 100 OEM licenses for it. Anyone have any experience about problems when building these systems? Ive buildt several mini-ITX and micro ATX and its easy to build. Just wanna know if there are anything interesting i should know about the media center windows ed.. Thanks Jan Share this post Link to post
peterh 1 Posted January 25, 2006 There is a hardware requirement for WM PCs, in particular the ability to tune to TV using a TV tune, use CD/DVD burners etc which may be unsuitable for certain types of PC: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/mediacenter/evaluation/faq.mspx Share this post Link to post
janfebmar 0 Posted January 26, 2006 Hi Thanks, Didnt learn anything about media centers when i took my MCSE 8) Seems easy enough to set up, so im going to order a few parts to see how it actually works in the real life, just in case some confused costumer calls in and wonders how it works. Another dumb thing ive noticed is that the Windows Media Center doesnt support Norwegian yet.. Ah, gonna loose lots of costumers to that Share this post Link to post
